## A satirical Soviet rhyme

These first lines from an epigram written by Yuri Vlodov ([Russian Wikipedia](https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%92%D0%BB%D0%BE%D0%B4%D0%BE%D0%B2,_%D0%AE%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B9_%D0%90%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%BA%D1%81%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B4%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%B8%D1%87)) spread anonymously and became widely known in the Soviet Union.

### Original

> Прошла зима, настало лето —<br>
> Спасибо партии за это!

### Translation

> Winter has passed; it's spring we greet —<br>
> We thank the Party for this feat!
